Which block do we have?

The JF-17 we currently fly, is it a block 2? Maybe this has been answered before. Also are there any other weapons or systems we are still missing?

But if serious - we have Block I with some features from Block II (i.e. AAR probe).

Thats actually the only block 2 feature. Otherwise its a pure block 1

Isn't HMD also a Block II feature, if one day we to get it?

Thanks for the help all. I guess that’s why I couldn’t nail down what block it was. I’ve been flying it for about two weeks, just because it’s different.

If the Pakistan AF would add it to their Block 1 Jeff's, then no.

the HMD was developed and tested on FC-1 (flight test before Block I) so it would be a Block I feature not Block II.

This may be urban legend or forum lore and not actual fact, so take this with a grain of salt: I've read the HMD is a possibility for the module, but only if Block 1's are retroacively outfitted with them in real life. If they aren't (most likely wont be), we wont get any HMD love. If Block 1's are retrofitted, we get the love.

HMD would be awesome, but unrealistic at this point. I am over here just excited at the very unlikely prospect of getting a chin TPOD pylon.

I believe it has been stated - if there is any display on the HMD, it's fictional, as there are no screenshots or description of what it would display.

PAF has over 150 block 1-2s, why would they not at least get rid of the PL-5 in favor of the PL-10, even with no HMS/D.

yea, scrap the PL-5, you can buy the PL-10 in larger batches, meaning cheaper prices per missile, but... maybe PL-5 is on sale?

For sure, but they'd still seek to replace PL-5s and add PL-10 compatibility, for instance we see F-16/18s in the US carry both 9X/Ms likely due to 9M stocks but they can still use both. If the PAF did choose that approach, we could get PL-10s.
