Colonel Akir Nakesh Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 (edited) Hi BD and all, Just playing the campaign for the 2nd time In mission 2 I start up my plane, tune to green 1, red 1 , and try to radio check but nothing... anyone else getting this? OK I figured it out... I needed to have ground electrical power. I previously started engines and waited to make sure I had no caution/warning lights but still no audio, but having ground electrical power it works Back to Mirage South Ossetia campaign mission 1 for Mirage 101 .... Edited November 7, 2022 by Colonel Akir Nakesh fixed
seba78 Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 Had the same problem in open beta (2.8.0.32235.1) didn't find any solution, reverted back to release (2.7.18.30765) and it worked fine
baltic_dragon Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 Yes, I think the ground electrical power necessity is part of the general upgrade of M-2000C. In 2.7.18 you will have the old version of the campaign before the major overhaul I recently did.
Colonel Akir Nakesh Posted November 13, 2022 Author Posted November 13, 2022 Hey BD, Testing a little more, even with ground power on, I don't hear anything when I do a radio check...but if I flick the red radio to CH2 then back to CH1, it will work! For whatever that's worth..not sure if that's as intended, still a bit rusty with the Mirage
baltic_dragon Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 Not intended and sounds like something with DCS system. Glad you found the way around it though!
Colonel Akir Nakesh Posted November 15, 2022 Author Posted November 15, 2022 Thanks BD. I ran into some problems later in the mission, where I couldn't hear Reaper and some of the other calls coming in. I was tuned to MAIN on red and CHEVY on green as (I think I was) instructed...
Aumenarys Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 yep, i can't hear him either when he's telling to chase after the f5...
baltic_dragon Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 Thanks, I'll have a look. Maybe I borked something when updating the campaign.
FMBluecher Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 Just chiming in to say that I also experienced the above problems.
CaptainCernick Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 Same issue here unforitunately. I couldn't do the radio check despite having ground power and being on channel 1 on both radios. Pressing space bar when prompted just didn't seem to generate a response. I tried continuing without the radio check, I could hear ATIS and contact ground as expected, but I could not hear REAPER's instructions on Red 1 channel. Also wanted to give a quick message of appreciation for the training missions and Caucasus campaign included with the M2000. This is the first DCS module that seems to really 'click' for me. Partly thanks to the intuitive cockpit and HUD design (why do other aircraft not have acceleration chevrons? They make formation flying so much easier!) but mostly thanks to your excellent campaigns gently introducing or refreshing concepts in an immersive and engaging campaign. 1
Pegas44 (Andrey) Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Same issue, no incoming messages - on screen just '.' is shown.

I got past the issue, now tackling Mission 12. I think the solution posted above by Akir Nakesh worked for me: try cycling the radio channels before contacting Reaper.
Pegas44 (Andrey) Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 Thanks, yeah, I can confirm that cycling red radio channels helps in mission 2
Mermoz Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 dunno if it's the same bug but I lost the audio from Reaper after we broke formation. I had Green on Element(8) and Red on Main(1) as reaper required one set to be on main at all time. I could hear my pilot and the other mirages, but not Reaper so basically I was responding to emptyness. tried cycling both radios without any success. Reaper never came back online

I found the issue for the initial radio radio check issue. while you did set the initial freq for all planes at 248.5AM at initialisation of the mission you have Chevy 3-1 and Chevy 3-2 perform the following task "set radio 250.3 AM" as a result I guess it sets the radios to 250.3 instead of the preset channel 1. hence the need to cycle the channels. 1
