DEWorley
i have a saitek x52 joystick, throttle and pro rudders running in Vista64. all of the axes & buttons respond fine in the windows game controller screen. but i'm having trouble mapping game functions to my x52 throttle buttons and all of the 8 way hats except for the throttle hat, using the in-game controller setup. the joystick buttons all map fine. also, windows calls the x52 hat switches; 'hat switch', 'POV2' & 'throttle hat' but the black shark controll screen doesn't use the same names, only pov_1, pov_2 & pov_3. and the black shark controll screen lists a lot more buttons than i have on my setup. any ideas? You have to go through the Axis's list and make sure you don't have redundant keys set up on multiple buttons.:book: I have noticed the game has done this or someone in DCS programing didn't edit the assignments correctly and doubled them up. " any failure you meet, is never a defeat; merely a set up for a greater come back, " W Forbes "Success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts," Winston Churchill " He who never changes his mind, never changes anything," MSI z690MPG DDR4 || i914900k|| ddr4-64gb PC3200 || MSI RTX 4070Ti|Game1300w|Win10x64| |turtle beach elite pro 5.1|| ViRpiL,T50cm2|| MFG Crosswinds|| VT50CM-plus rotor Throttle || G10 RGB EVGA Keyboard/MouseLogitech || PiMax Crystal VR || 32 Samsung||
IIIJG11 Reaper
So its a X52 ie, .dat files or the .pr0. I have found with my pro it got a whole lot better with the new beta software from saitek, basically made a profile and havent had to touch a thing in the game controller setup. DEWorley
mastiff, i'm not sure what you mean by 'go through the Axis's list'. i don't have any game function assigned to more than 1 joystick button or vice versa.
DEWorley
reaper, i'm not using any external software to program the joystick, only the in-game setup screen. years ago i enjoyed programming & fine tuning my setup, usually i used 'foxy', i think it was called, but now i just want to get it running good enough.
