propeler Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 One guy from russian speaking branch of il-2 forum created first FFB pedals! Is future of FFB deviceds coming? What do you think> 2
dburne Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 FFB future coming because of what one guy created? Highly doubtful. It supports rise of force with speed(natural airdynamic), takes into account prop wash for propeller airplains, has simple spring capabilities(with curve adjustment) and advanced springs based on AOA and G. It also have configurable shaking effects depending on AOA, mechanisation retraction, landing and rolling on ground.
Monkee Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 I want this future so bad. I don't understand how almost no one is realizing the potential of proper FFB in flight sims...
Wolf8312 Posted December 25, 2022 Posted December 25, 2022 Honestly, I think the best kind of FFB one can get is a buttkicker kind of device combined with Simshaker software. Once in the AC it does a pretty great job of simulating the feeling of flight, weapons, touchdowns, etc. Once you've tried it, it is very difficult to do without as the AC's feel lifeless! They do look like nice pedals, even without the FFB, but I tend to believe its best to have the FFB on the pilots chair rather than the stick, or pedals, throttle, etc. ------------ 3080Ti, i5- 13600k 32GB VIVE index, VKB peddals, HOTAS VPC MONGOOSE, WARTHOG throttle, BKicker,

You can not judge things that you did not try. I work on my devices in pair with the real pilot, flying different types from acrobatic to business jets. And on his opinion FFB stick is the most valuable thing for flite simming. buttkicker is not even close to things that FFB stick and pedals could give in terms of information and feel of airplane.

Those pedals do look great and obviously I wouldn't say no! In an ideal world everything I have would have FFB, the hotas, the chair, stick, pedals, even the floor! But I have to draw the line somewhere myself, so I'd go with the buttkicker/chair as a FFB priority before looking to the stick, pedals etc. But yeah you're right, if one can afford both that would obviously be way better and I wasn't knocking those pedals ('m interested)! The only question I'd have (esepcially with a ffb stick) though is how long I'd get out of it. FFB (BK too) has a bit of reputation...
