Gianky Posted November 30, 2022 Posted November 30, 2022 Hi guys! The full checklist for the aircraft, the one included in the kneeboard (thank you for that), lists a series of BIT at start, namely the ones regarding the Pitot Anti Ice system, the Engine Anti Ice system and the Cabin pressure switch. I tried to run them, but none seems to work: the anti ice systems BITs clearly are not working (e.g. the indicators on the front panel do not change, there's no variation on the loadmeters, ecc.), the one about cabin pressure doesn't seem to work, but it might just be because, in real life, the pilot should verify the correct working of the system by checking that the air flow from the pressurization outlets stops; nothing changes in DCS when you turn the switch to the "off" position, I'm not sure if it's by design, or if the sound effects are still missing (for example, in the F-14 or F/A-18 you can hear the air flow stopping when you turn the air off). So, I'd like to know if these BITs are going to be included or you simply decided not to simulate them. P.S. Since I'm at it, the ELT light is really hard to see, especially in VR, could you make it brighter?

Aircraft on ground2. Engine running3. Engine RPM > 75%4. Engine or Pitot anti ice switch to TestFurther details are reported in the flight manualInviato dal mio ASUS_I005D utilizzando Tapatalk MB339 EFM Coder Frecce Tricolori Virtuali [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Gianky Posted December 1, 2022 Author Posted December 1, 2022 (edited) Hey Duke! First of all, thanks for the reply. Secondly, I think you should revised how the Anti Ice BITs are working on the module, at this moment, or the documentation: the kneeboard checklist says to throttle up to 60%, not 75% (see the file "11.jpg", item 1), just as the checklist in the RL manual (even in the system description, the manual says "with the engine running at 60% or more" - page 1-21 in the one I have -; so, 60% should be enough to run the test); besides, the Pitot check is set before engine start in the checklist (see file "05.png", "Right console", item 8), it should work with the engine not running and, if I'm not making some other mistake, right now it's not. Sorry if I'm being picky, but I kinda have the feeling you guys are, too! Edited December 1, 2022 by Gianky
Solution 6S.Duke Posted December 1, 2022 Solution Posted December 1, 2022 I told 75% because I did not have access to the documentation and I did not remember the actual value, anyway I had a quick check and I confirm that there is an error and the test is written to start at RPM more that 68%.Now we are in code freeze, I will add this to our internal bug tracker and will be corrected after the next OB release.Inviato dal mio ASUS_I005D utilizzando Tapatalk 2 MB339 EFM Coder Frecce Tricolori Virtuali [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
