Zoom In and Out Speed

Is there a way to change the speed for the zoom in and out slow key commands? Something in the lua files or wherever that won’t get overridden in multiplayer?

Ok I figured it out

copy View.lua from

C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Config\View

paste into your Saved Games folder

C:\Users\Youname\Saved Games\DCS\Config\View

Then edit:

CockpitMouse = true --false
CockpitMouseSpeedSlow = 1.0
CockpitMouseSpeedNormal = 10.0
CockpitMouseSpeedFast = 20.0
CockpitKeyboardAccelerationSlow = 5.0
CockpitKeyboardAccelerationNormal = 30.0
CockpitKeyboardAccelerationFast = 80.0
CockpitKeyboardZoomAcceleration = 900.0
DisableSnapViewsSaving = false
UseDefaultSnapViews = true
CockpitPanStepHor = 45.0
CockpitPanStepVert = 30.0
CockpitNyMove = true

Looks like it passes the MP check if you put the altered files in your Saved Games folder

Sadly doesn't work anymore... Its now only in the menu screen / paused screen.

What doesn’t work anymore? DCS?

The zoom speed edit is still working for me.

I've updated the CockpitKeyboardZoomAcceleration = 900.0, but the zoom is still fixed at the default. Only if i pause the screen / menu screen, the zoom works for me.

Not sure what this means. Zoom in the menu screen?

Well if you pause / menu screen the screen your head movement with for example track ir still registers input and you head will move. At that moment you can also adjust your zoom view.

So the zoom speed change takes effect only then? That’s odd. Maybe try running a repair?

Just wanted to note that I see the same behavior - this zoom speed tweak only works while in the pause menu, not while flying.
