How to set up HMD or NVG in mission editor for BS 2 and BS 3

Where can one set the helmet mounted display of choice in the editor as to not have to do it ingame with the ground crew?

For BS3 it is there, but for BS2  it is not...

The mission is a day mission, so should not be given NVG by default.

Since I like to keep flying the BS2 can I 'bump' this again and ask if someone knows this for the BS2?
