So it may very well be a good time to upgrade the CPU since there are some major deals on 1200 socket hardware right now, thanks.

My specs:  W10 Pro, I5/11600K o/c to 4800 @1.32v, 64 GB 3200 XML RAM, Red Dragon 7800XT/16GB, monitor: GIGABYTE M32QC 32" (31.5" Viewable) QHD 2560 x 1440 (2K) 165Hz.

I think the jump up to 12th gen is possibly a better choice as I believe there was quite a bump in performance over 11th. Someone with more knowledge may be along to correct me though 🙂

Yes but that is outside my budget.

1200 sockets have some good deals like this boxing day bundling deal Im looking at:

On the flip side, maybe I should revisit overclocking my 8600K, I got a K so I could overclock it.  I currently run a stable 19% OC so runs at 4.3GHz...haven't tried to push it beyond that, but I have AIO liquid cooling so heat not an issue.

Oh yeah with a good AIO on that CPU you should easily be able to get the clock speed a good bit higher.
