Ed-B Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 Hi Everyone To begin with, merry Christmas to you all and advanced apologies if I am posting this note in the wrong area. I have a Thrustmaster Hotas Rudder Pedal, throttle and joystick. I am using the F-86 Sabre and am having issues with the mapping of the rudder pedals. I just can't get the system to correctly map the rudder pedals to the axis command rudder pedal mappings. I know that this must have come up previously but can't find a link via the search facility so I thought I would reach out for advice. When I use the rudder pedals the Sabre moves to the left / right and I can see the in-sim joystick moving and the throttle also seems to be moving. It looks like the mappings are clashing. Has anyone managed to map the Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog rudder pedals (and the throttle and joystick) on to the F-86 correctly ? If so, can they explain how I can achieve the same results or possibly point me to an FAQ or a mugs guide ? Any help would be really gratefully received as I'm hoping to learn the F-86 over the Christmas holiday. Seasons Greetings to all Ed
BuzzU Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 Not sure what Thrustmaster Hotas Rudder Pedals are? Got a picture? Are you sure nothing else is mapped with the rudder pedals? Buzz
BitMaster Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 Ed, if I understand you right, your issue is actually a "common" thing with most modules that haven't been configured yet with axis and buttons. All you have to do is to edit the controls for Axis. There, make sure that Rudder only does the rudder function ( no tilt, no roll, no yaw and no throttle ). Do the same for every other input axis. Throttle lever only does throttle axis, none other.. It is self-explaining once you are in that menue. Sometimes you have to revert the axis, i.e. for left and right brake, they often are inverted by default and thus always locked/engaged. Either way, when you are IN THE COCKPIT and move the rudder pedals, ONLY the rudder pedals on your screem should move, no stick and no throttle and no other function that may use an axis ( i.e. view distance, radar scan range, turbine power, WWII wingspan dial, etc.. there are plenty among the modules).
