Reverb G2 V2 issue with window focus and Full Screen mode

I just moved from a Rift S to the new Reverb G2 v2.  Before I could always press ALT-ENTER and put the monitor in full screen mode, thus keeping the mouse from clicking outside and taking the window out of focus.  Since moving to the Reverb I can't get DCS into full screen mode with ALT-ENTER, and I am constantly clicking outside and either taking the window out of focus or causing stranger behavior than that, such as apparently locking DCS up, although task manager says it's still running.  I don't know if this is because of the Mixed Reality Portal, or something through SteamVR, or something else.  I am using Open Beta 2.8.1.34667, NON STEAM edition of DCS.  Anyone have any ideas?  This is driving me nuts, I can't even make it through a cold&dark startup.

Go into the DCS settings and check confine the mouse cursor to the window

I have checked that that box is checked, and it makes no difference.  It still allows me to click outside of the window and then it loses focus.

One thing that helped me was to move the windows task bar to the left or right side. With it at the bottom I was constantly getting outside the window trying to flip switches on the side consoles.

In options, on the VR screen, make sure use system resolution is set, and make sure your system resolution is set to your screen size.
