Hi all,

Ok, in "game" mode you can assign the landing light/spotlight function to the joystick and using one of the POV's. In "simulation" mode, we can't assign that function. Am I totally retarded and I can't find it or is something else going.

I understand what the heys are. The problem is when you select the "simulation" drop down in the key assignments menu, you dont have the option to assign the hat switch because those search/landing lights fields only show up in the "game" portion of the menu on the key assignments screen.

Those drop downs are just filters for key commands. Simulation group is stuff that controls the simulation directly like time acceleration. You want the Collective Stick filter or the handy "All" filer.

It should be a simple matter of finding the entry in the control listings (filter for Collective Stick), double clicking on the row for Slew Landing Light Up, pressing that directional hat up on your joystick, hitting OK, and repeating for the other 3 directions.

I had an issue like this when I first installed BS - I couldn't map certain buttons in simulation mode but i could in game mode. I will dig up a link to the thread where I got the solution.

Hope this helps - my problem was not related to having a X52 pro.

I assigned it to my hat. But the spot light isn't very bright. It's dull yellow instead of bright white. I'm thinking it's a setting that might be able to be changed. I remember in Lomac there was something I changed to make the landing lights brighter but I can't remamber what it was.

It would be nice also if thee was a focus adjustment on the light.
