Stratos Posted January 21, 2023 Posted January 21, 2023 Ok, I'm trying to use the TGP to designate a target, no matter If I use the LGB or simply Mk.82 bombs, they refuse to release, so I'm doing something incorrectly, hope you can tell me what it is. - Master ARM and Laser On - A-G mode with CCRP selected - TGP as SOI, select target in Area or Point Mode - The cue falls down and I hit the release button, but the bomb refuse to leave the hardpoint. What I'm missing? what I'm doing wrong? I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!
Lace Posted January 21, 2023 Posted January 21, 2023 Long hold, a few seconds before, and continuing through the release cue. I believe at the moment, you need to be within 5 mils of the ASL for the weapons to release, so make sure you have correctly lined up the FPM with the ASL. Not sure if this behaviour is correct or likely to change again. 1 Laptop Pilot. Stratos Posted January 21, 2023 Author Posted January 21, 2023 Maybe I'm missing a step, I need to lock/designate the TGP target somehow? I can use dumb bombs, rockets, the HARM... I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!
Solution rob10 Posted January 21, 2023 Solution Posted January 21, 2023 What Lace said. Make sure you press and hold BEFORE the cue hits the release point and keep holding until it's off the rail. And currently you need to be very precise or it won't release. The other thing it might be (been a while since I flew the F-16, but I think this is correct) but with CCRP I think you get 2 "drops" of the release cue -- 1st one is for lofted? delivery and 2nd will be for level flight. If you're pressing on the 1st drop you might not get release. 2

What I'm missing? what I'm doing wrong? I had success by going into the Bomb settings and changing the angle of realease from 45 degrees to 0 degrees. I found that with 45 degrees, I had to have the nose pointed down before it would release the ordnance.
