Why does the official server list show 1700 servers, yet in game i can only see 45 without any kind of filters applied?

Hello,

When i look at the list of servers here

Game servers (digitalcombatsimulator.com)

i can see 1721 servers, yet when i go in game i can only fetch 45. 

I am using OpenBeta 2.8.2.35632. Are there only 45 OpenBeta servers which are not compatible with the 2.8 version?

I have had trouble finding my own server. I can see it on the webpage above, but its missing from the in game list.

Your a champ! I can see the server i am looking for now and its showing 1560 servers (still a small amount less than on the website above). Can you explain this difference?

So i can only see servers which have a server version lower than what i am using correct?

Hi, glad it is sorted. 

Not all versions can play with each other, sometimes we change the network protocol for a version to prevent possible bugs with incompatible versions that may create issues for the newer one.

Does the latest OpenBeta version work with the offical steam release version? or the offical production release?

steam and stand alone version work together yes. Just make sure you are on the same version number as the person you are flying with
