Ordenance Not Showing and A/C blowing up on Weapons Release.

I know a couple of people have already mentioned this as a problem so I'll start a new thread. Something strange here. Have installed before and all worked fine. THis time after OS breakdown and complete reinstall, weapons show up as present from the cockpit, guided weapons even launch, but a) no external ordenance at all is visible in F2 view, on mine or any AI aircraft, and upon attempting to launch unguided rockets I just blow up. I've tried reinstalling but no joy. I really would not like to have to download again if I can help it, it takes 6 hours with my connection. Really annoying because otherwise this is a great sim. Any advice please, would be very appreciated.

Did you deactivate and reactivate when reinstalling . If not i wonder if that would have anything to do with it.

No, I didn't try that - will give it a go and see.

For the record, but you should not have to use activation/deactivation for a Black Shark uninstall/reinstall procedure, from what ED says here.

 

But maybe in this case it can help? Maybe the sim is not behaving during uninstall/reinstall as it should?

Have you installed Modman 7.108 and/or any of the following mods Hawg11's Water FPS fixes, Crazy Sundogs Improved_Rotor.zip sounds mod or NPsAM_Final.zip runway textures? If so remove them and recheck. I had exactly the same symptoms with nil external stores and the exploding chopper. I removed/uninstalled all three mods using modman and problem solved. It may be one of those mods (and I luved them by the way) or none of them but it could also be using Modman in conjuntion with BS installed in C:\ program files\ as warned against in Modman setup.. I didn't bother doing any further investigation after I uninstalled them and game played ok.

Thanks for the replies guys. Have been away for a bit - Macka: No, haven't installed any of the things you mentioned so can't be that. Chillspider: More I think about it the more I think your right. Did a clean install the other day from an old backup that I'd forgeotten about and had worked perfectly before - same problem. It can only be that something is left after uninstall and of coursesomething IS left and that is whatever it is that allows us to reinstall without activation. The bug must be contained in there I would have thought.

Do you have Vista? If so, you can be experienceing problems with "Virtual Storage" feature, preserving the broken files upon reinstall. Try installing to a totally different location (e.g. C:\DCS_Ka-50\)

Had the same problem, solved it by removing 'Crazy Sundogs Improved_Rotor.zip' from modman.
