Voyager Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 Getting ready to reformate my OS drive and migrate from Windows 10 to Windows 11, and wondering if it is possible to keep the core data files on the computer so I don't need to redownload everything, or should I just download and reinstall the whole thing regardless? Thank you, Harry Voyager

Thank you, Harry Voyager no need to redownload everything unless you are formatting and then installing Win11. essentially you need to copy all the ED folders and run a repair. also make sure the shortcuts have the correct path. if you are just upgrading, it should be ok. also very important is to make a copy of your Saved Games. you can migrate all your controls with those files. have a look at this video. not migrating Windows but this will give you some tips. 2 AKA_SilverDevil Join AKA Wardogs Email Address My YouTube “The MIGS came up, the MIGS were aggressive, we tangled, they lost.” - Robin Olds - An American fighter pilot. Voyager Posted February 7, 2023 Author Posted February 7, 2023 @silverdevil Ok. Since I've got my flight sim stuff on a dedicated drive, I'll try the repair and see if it works. This will be a full fresh Windows 11 install. Doing hardware upgrades and want to see if I can fix some weird crud going on with my VR system, as well as set up a Linux boot for a secondary project, and thinking going from 10 to 11 will leave oddities behind.
