I know this is proobly a repeat, but i think this may be kinda unique. Every half second or so, BS will freeze or shudder for a split second. I have tried turning down the AA and stuff, and it helps, but not much. I made a video, it's hard to see, but it explains what's happening.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I may not look like much but it's really making the sim much more difficult and unenjoyable to play. It doesn't seem to be my computer being slow as I've turned down the in-game settings and nothing helps.

I currently run on medium settings except civil traffic is off and visibility rqange is low. Using medium textures makes the cockpit look like crap, even with the size at 1024. Any ideas on how to speed this thing up? I feel i sould be able tio run it a bit higher on my comp.

I don't know how to OC, but if someone would like to tell me how, that'd be great!

Your system specs don't look bad at all

I get that stutter once in a great while, but it's only for a split second. It always happens when something is accessing the harddisk. Loading terrain or something would be my guess? Could also be related to sound, I've read some users using cheap onboard sound having these kind of problems too.

Things I would check:

1) Updated drivers (chipset/video/sound/BIOS etc)

2) Make sure DMA is enabled for your hardrive controler

3) Kill all unneeded programs before starting the game, especially anti virus

4) Turn water setting in game to medium

5) Turn off the indexing service in your control panel, it always seems to decide to index at the most inappropriate times.

6) Run a disk cleanup and do a defrag. Especially if you are running low on disk space.

Also check this post, something to do with having altered the pageing file:

Sounds to me like disk access, or a program running in the background. As above, do a good defrag and kill antivirus/defraggers etc before flying.

As an extreme solution, you can't beat twin WD Raptors in RAID 0! I never get any disk access issues anymore ;)
