Reticuli Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Is the bombs not visibly dropping and them still being attached to the wings after a crater has been put on the ground a known bug? I also had to use the cannon trigger to drop them. slug88 Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 I have not noticed this. Are you sure you're not flying with unlimited ammo enabled? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
braden Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 i thought my bombs werent dropping after seeing the explosion on the ground...turns out i was dropping the bombletswhose container stays on the pylons. did u have some funky mix of armanents on your pylons? i.e. not matching pairs?
Ramstein Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 I dropped the (AP) Bomblets on some soldiers which had a couple ground vehicles with them. The Bomblets destroyed the vehicles, but left the soldiers alive and standing. WTH? The bomblets should have definitely destroyed all flesh... especially if it destroyed the trucks... What about the (AT) Bomblets.. do they work in the reverse?? geogob Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Just a question, do you have unlimited ammo enabled? The first behavior you mention would be coherent with the use of unlimited ammo.
ARM505 Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 This engine has always suffered from the 'supersoldier' effect, ie troops tend to be superhuman when it comes to absorbing the blast and fragmentation effect. Some excellent example screenshots are around from Lock On, with MANPAD troops standing amongst hundreds of craters as though nothing has happened.
Frederf Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Make sure you are using the actual bombs and not the KMGU dispensers.
