Hi, any tips on the best way to set these up? There is a confusing amount of key binds, including HOTAS flaps, flaps, combat flaps, some have multiple positions, some a single button ( combat flaps) How do most of you set them up? Cheers

System specs: PC1 :Scan 3XS Ryzen 5900X, 64GB Corsair veng DDR4 3600, EVGA GTX 3090 Win 10, Quest Pro, Samsung Odyssey G9 Neo monitor.

On my Warthog I have bound the 3 position flaps lever as that, and the combat flaps to buttons/or the boat switch. As that's sort of what it is in the real thing.

Cheers!

Did you managed to have the 3 position of the flaps on the warthog? If yes i would be glad to you to explain me how. 😁

Hi

I use the 3 position light grey lever in my warthog throttle labelled FLAPS to mimic real F1 lever, please see atached pic

I hope it helps

Thanks, didn't know that you could set an off position for a button. When i bind the command, i've never used the scroll up menu, only pushing the switch, i now discovered the off function in the menu.

You make my day.

Yes, you will see it is very useful for other keybinds too,

For example, warthog switch EAC: if you want to toggle gear up/down with EAC and don't make use of the OFF option you need to actually move the switch two times, not very realistic

But if you set up the option OFF, EAC down lowers the gear and EAC up gear up

Hi, so what's the difference between "Flaps full" and "Flaps full up" ? Also, where are the combat flaps and when / how should they be used?

Also, ( I am not well versed in this so please excuse) in the screenshot of Caldero settings above, what is teh binding joy_btn22_off; joy_btn_23off doing and why please?

Thanks - I have not really been flying the F1 much, but am planning to do so and would like to understand these basic points relating to the jet and controls mappings.

The ordinary flaps have three positions, but you take off in full. Mapped easily on a Warthog throttle.
The combat flaps lever/buttons are on the "front" of the throttle.
I'm no dogfighter, so I have no clue on when to use them.
