Why do some mods have no kneeboard?

For example, the Su17

is a flyable mod based on the SU25T. Although the controls have keybinds for the kneeboard, it never appears. Is there a lua file that needs tweaking?

Strange, there is the good line in ...\Cockpit\Scripts\device_init.lua
