MickV Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 The intermittent bug where the radar will refuse to lock a target no matter what's done appears to be back. It seems to happen only occasionally, and after landing and re-arming/refueling on a multiplayer server. Radar was working normally prior to a 2nd sortie, had lots of coolant left, no warning indicators. All switches confirmed correct. Targets will appear on the scope but flicker when in the TDC and cannot be locked. The lock button actuates (can hear it clicking and it moves) but no lock. Checked with high RCS targets flying head on and tail chase; friendly & hostile, tried the low-speed filters on/off - no effect. Even tried the self-test mode, and it will display a birdie but it likewise can't be locked. Re-spawning into a new plane fixes the issue. dcs.log
MickV Posted April 17, 2023 Author Posted April 17, 2023 Bumping. Issue is occurring more frequently, and now its happening mid-sortie on MP servers. It's not a coolant issue, all switches are correct, but seems like it might be a lag issue? When pressing the lock button the radar birdie will flicker but never locks. Self-test mode on the radar actually works, but only locks when holding the lock button for a few seconds. Holding the lock button does nothing for actual targets - hostile or friendly. Repairing does nothing - only reslotting into a new plane fixes it.
