Life raft / pilot model with inflated life west as units/static object

Life at sea is exciting - and harsh. Many a budding carrier-based pilot has taken the big drink, and many of us would love to create missions where helicopter pilots can perform rescue missions. Not only for pilots who buggered the bolter - there are many scenarios where we can create exciting helicopter missions to fish hapless swabbies out of the great blue.

One crucial thing is missing there, though: an object to place in the water that can be rescued, that can be the focal point of rescue missions. I would very much like it if ED could add a floating life raft or floating soldier with inflated life west to the units/static objects library to facilitate sea CSAR missions. I believe that this would also really complement the super carrier idea, as it gives the helicopters a real purpose (I'm thinking about plane guard duty on servers that conduct carrier training).

Thank you for your consideration 🙂

That's an excellent idea - if the survivor was based on the winchable cargo model then it would probably be reasonably straightforward? (And yes, I appreciate that I'm not even remotely qualified to say what's straightforward and what isn't)

Do we have any pilots in DCS that were not protected IRL by at least Mae West or Life Preserver Unit? Those should be excluded then but still let them float on their own. All should die eventually after spending too much time in cold waters based on temperature.

There is a 3rd party module that my squadron uses for such things. It is a static object. It would be great if the devs included such a thing that might be essential to CSAR ops,
