T3N0N Posted March 3, 2023 Posted March 3, 2023 Hello, for some reason, I can't make a post in game crash so if a mod sees this please move it. Thanks! o7 I was working on a mission for a while on PG. Everything was working fine. I added a boom tanker and an additional F-16 on the blue side to check if the tanker was working. I pressed Fly and then the game crashed. Unlucky I thought but by now I figured out that it happens every time I try to save or fly. It's only this mission every other mission seems fine. When I try to fly the mission via the mission tab in the main menu I get an error: "Can not write to file: C:\Users\Daniel\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS\tempMission.miz" Here is a log file including a dxdiag. (not sure how to upload it directly here) https://filetransfer.io/data-package/6sIZSORe#link Here is a link to my mission: https://filetransfer.io/data-package/Nctz1WCO#link My GPU drivers are up to date. No overclocking XMP is Off I tried to repair and check files via Steam No Mods active Pagefile is set to 24GB+ All help is appreciated! Thank! ~ T3N0N

Hi, I tested the mission and can report that it is not corrupt and loads on my DCS with no trouble, it has around 270 units. I suggest that you use windows to check on this location: C:\Users\Daniel\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS\ and try to delete the tempMission.miz file manually. Keep in mind that AppData is a hidden folder, so you may have to ask windows to show hidden files. For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB

I just deleted the temMission.miz. and also removed the read-only permission of all stuff inside AppData\Local\Temp\DCS. Now I don't get any error message about "Can not write file" but I still crash when trying to save the mission or when trying to fly it.

The mission does not crash on my end, tough I have not flown it much as I'm not really into night flying: Can you attach your dcs.log file generated when the mission crashes? It may have more clues. No, my fault, I didn't see them at first. Took a look and there is no clear error, the scripts you use do produce several error messages, but I'm not able to interpret them, perhaps the script authors can help you better with that. For example: ERROR VFS (Main): VFS_open_write: CreateFile(C:\Users\Daniel\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS\Mission/track/action): The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open. 2023-03-02 14:43:04.414 ALERT LUACOMMON (Main): Error: GUI Error: [string "./Scripts/dictionary.lua"]:606: VFS_open_write: Can't create file C:\Users\Daniel\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS\Mission/track/action This is the DCS error that produces the crash, but I don't know what is the root cause: 2023-03-02 14:44:09.442 INFO EDCORE (Main): # -------------- 20230302-144409 -------------- 2023-03-02 14:44:09.444 INFO EDCORE (Main): DCS/2.8.2.35759 (x86_64; Windows NT 10.0.19045) 2023-03-02 14:44:09.447 INFO EDCORE (Main): D:\Games\steamapps\common\DCSWorld\bin\Visualizer.dll 2023-03-02 14:44:09.449 INFO EDCORE (Main): # C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at 00007FF9F1F268A3 00:00000000 Best regards For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
