Hello!

I use 3 MFDs and the UFC with HUD control panel. In simapp I have the backlighting for all devices set to "Setting" So the slider in simapp controls the backlight brightness.

Now when I shut down my PC all MFDs and the UFC are going dark, but the HUD panel keeps the backlight on. The weird thing is that this is not always the case, sometimes it also turns off.

All devices are plugged into a USB hub which always stays power on, regardless if PC is on or off.

All devices and software have newest firm/software version.

Is it a powered USB hub?  Mine do the same thing - although it's random.  Might be this MFD, that MFD, UFC, HUD.  When the PC is off, if I bump one sometimes it comes on.  I think it has to do with the powered USB hub.

Same here, but with all devices, depends on your motherboard and / or the behaviour of your USB Hub (no signal->turn off power), I think. Soft shutting down your PC doesn't mean it's off. There might be a BIOS setting if USB ports are still powered when in soft off. "Once upon a time" we had big red levers on the side of the case, just a flip and the PC was off. Totally OFF! Physically disconnected from the grid.

There's a tiny little reminiscence on these golden times: Your power supply block usually got a tiny switch with almost the same function. Just turn it off after shutdown and your USB devices (not powered through a hub) should turn off too.

You may have USB Power still enabled on your motherboard after shutdown.

Dig into your Bios settings to turn off motherboard usb power settings.

Otherwise, just turn off the computer power supply directly when not in use, which can be a pain.
