Before takeoff there began an ubearable high pitched ring in my ears that started right after the CPG comm voiceover and didnt go away.  And Saber3-1 , my AI flight lead kept losing power and drifting around at low altitude as if damaged.  Its pretty buggy. In mission two while trying to take off from the farp I had a low RPM and redlining engines, so I dropped both bags, and still made it through the mission.  Its a way detailed and thought out campaign, I will like to retry mission 3 with some advice, or some bug fixes please

My guess is you need to squelch the radios to eliminate the static (if that's what you're describing).

I just played through the mission again, and had no such blaring tone in my ears.  And I found out it wasn't that I was supposed to fly formation with Saber 3-1, in fact they were flying on my wing, which explains the erratic changes of altitude followed by crashing into static objects in the fog.

Is it correct that CP/G George is intended to be used by the pilot?

When instructing George to look for a target he will do so. He will offer target options for selection, but his dashed target cross in the pilots hdu does not lock to the chosen item. It stays centred and boxed (diamond). This is corroborated by the dot indicator at the bottom hdu display is stationary. His head is also not moving? 

This creates problems for turning towards a locked adversary as I've no idea where it's situated relative to the aircraft.

I may have missed something obvious, is it me or is it a bug.....

Sounds like you haven't set your ACQ Source to TADS.

In a hot start aircraft, this has already been set for you.  In a cold start aircraft, you have to set this yourself.
