I am playing around with SAM sites lately. My SA-2 SAM group has 1 SR, 1TR and 3 LN. My problem is, if I point all of them facing south, can they track and hit anything other than approaching from the direction of south?

Then it is very strange. I am sure the green circles of the LNs are enclosing both SR and TR and yet, they did not fire at me at all, when I approach from the east, inside their launch range at 12K ft, while they are facing south. My RWR only detects the SR, but no TR... Do I need the RF too?

It should work if you add the P-19 to the group.

For example

X Launchers

1 Fan Song

1 P-19

And that should make the group fire at you.

Addition: In the files the Fan Song is made dependant on the P-19. So if you have that one in the group it will work. Other SRs don't work. The RF is not needed. However, if you are using the RF, its dependant on the Fan Song and the P-19.

There is a max distance between the units (but I don't remember it anymore, but it should be decently large).

I've got you an example below. 3 Launchers, 1 TR and 1 SR, no change in position, facing North. One A-10A at 12'000ft immortal without reaction flying overhead the site.

Otherwise attach your mission so we can see if you're missing something.
