Motion Rigs for flying - dof reality h3 vs others or none at all (vr) and chairs

Curious if anyone here happens to have the dof reality h2 or h3 setup.  Im having a hard time figuring out what inexpensive seat could be used with it that supports arm rests /attachments.

I will use this mainly for MSFS but also dcs.

Im seeing altering opinions on whether motion adds any realism or maybe it depends on the type, ie: actuators style vs others?

VR flight sim guy loves his h2 dof and he has real world experience, while others out there might comment that the way the motion rig throws you around isnt realistic at all?

Any thoughts and input on the dof h3, or is there a better system at that pricepoint ($3200 with upgraded motors shipped)?

I have the P3, but I am new to it. Just finished initial assembly last week.  When it works as I expect it to, its amazing. However, these things are not plug and play and require a lot of tweaking, modification and trial and error. They come with no real instructions and the videos on youtube for assembly, while generally good, leave some very important questions unanswered and some steps unclear. Even so, assembly is the easy part. It is the balancing and setting up with the software that is really the difficult and sometimes frustrating part. if you can accept this, they are great. i disagree with the last poster that H2 with pitch and roll is enough for flight. You at least want 3 DOF...pitch, roll and yeah. Some will argue the 6 DOF rigs are even better for flight...they add heave, sway and a combination of all axis to the mix. Overall, I'm happy with the 3 DOF for now, but it is nice that they can be upgraded later on.

I was thinking of getting either the H3 or H6 so I added them to the basket to find out about other costs.  You have to buy the rig, plus a seat, keyboard mount, HOTAS mounts and I think there were 2 more things I'd need...and the kit only has a 12 month warranty.  The H3 came out at around £5k and the H6 a lot more.  I'd want a lot more than 12 months warranty fot that amount of dosh.  P&P is very expensive too...anywhere from £250 to just under £400 and then you have customs import charges too.  I'd rather get a good chair and 2 over excited huskies to move it around.

To me the movements look a bit jerky, unlike a plane.

I fly real warbirds, aerobatics and do dogfight simulations, real life movements are smoother , with that being said , I have never tried a motion rig myself, would love to try one and hopefully like it.

VR flight sim guy, I dont believe anything he says, everything is amazing awesome until the next thing comes out.

Could you elaborate on setti g software. Do you mean there is no kind of default profile ?

From what I've read online, it's fine tuned in dependent on you (height, weight etc) and the rig software, as well as the game software you use.  I've read good things about their customer support for PC users.  They can do a remote connection and sort out the settings for you.

I was also worried about the noise the rig makes from my neighbours point of view, as well as the weight of it being in an upstairs room, 150kg.

Also, just found a vendor for these rigs online that's UK based.  It'll be worth making contact with them, as I'd assume they have a right setup for eemo purposes somewhere?

On the issue of software, there are 2 programs that I've read about.  It doesn't look like either are free...one's definitely subscription based.
