Is there a mission where you are guided on a proper carrier landing w a hornet? Including comms and the significance of what is said/heard?

the name escapes me at the moment, but there is just such a thing in the user files. great for carrier learning, it assesses you as you do the pattern and approach. if I remember, I will come back here.

You're likely thinking Banklers Case 1 recovery trainer (find it in the F-18 missions subforum, but it now works with F-14 as well).  It's a great tool, but probably only works for the OP after they actually learn how to land (which is what they're after).  U-tube videos are likely your best option.  There is the built in training for the F-18, but it's pretty bare bones and doesn't cover off the comm's for supercarrier (which didn't exist when it started).  The DCS supercarrier manual isn't bad, but do a search for "Aircraft Carrier Operating Procedures for DCS" which is an EXCELLENT pdf reference for everything you need to know.
