I'm practicing Navagation and set-up an Inu Fix Point, a little distance from my route. About 15 Kicks away my EKRAN lights-up with a message to activate the Fix Pont. I uncage my SHKVAL and lock-up (I beleive) the Fix Pont, but my warning on the EKRAN dispay remains. Some time passes, then it goes away. Is that normal? I thought the EKRAN message would dissapear after locking on the Fix Point, I'm a little unsure if I properly activated the Fix Point. Is that the step that I should take or are there other steps that I need to perform?

this is how to do it: select INU # set the switch underneath the PVI called INU/update to INU. uncage sensor, lock the point up(bridge, building or whatever and remember to turn the laser on). then press the designate button on the cyclic once more. you should then get a message on the hud and the PVI will go out of INU mode. Update complete.

I'm not realy sure if it does anything. I have tried to set a point well of my route and set a point close by. on the PVI I chose the pointe far of my route and locked up the point close to me while enroute. after updating the range was still the same to the next steerpoint even though i just told the machine that i was at a different location.

Someone made a post previously that stated that the INU will not accumulate errors like it would in RL.

Therefore the 'Nav Fix' facility is functional but doesn't have an obvious effect owing to there being no errors to fix.

This I believe to be the case but am happy to be corrected.

Old thread revived but I just wanted to confirm that INU is not accumulating erros ?

The only thing I have to do is to, once in a while, cage my ADI and make it reset ? That would be the only thing getting errors ?
