Dcs multiplayer crashing during long sessions

Hello, I have a reoccuring problem with DCS multiplayer. I would load into a multiplayer server fine and play as normal but after 45 mins - 1 hour, my game crashes to desktop. I highly suspect it has something to do with my computer memory maxing out but I've already tried the regular solutions for this (page file). Does anyone know what else I can do to fix this?

Computer spec:

CPU: i5-12600K

GPU: RTX 3070 ti - 8GB VRAM

Memory: 32GB DDR5 5600 MHz

Storage: M2 NVME (DCS application), SSD (system & pagefile)

 

Pagefile set to 32768 - 32768 on my C drive

 

EDIT: I am also running DCS MT. This crashing was infrequent in standard DCS before the patch but now it's pretty consistent.

Try lowering your Preload Radius in DCS graphcis options.

Also ensure no other program is eating up memory while you fly.

Last but not least: ensure the drive hosting your pagegile has enough free space for it.

A quick update.

 

I've changed my preload radius from 35000 to 12800. I also made sure no other programs are taking up a noticeable amount of RAM.

Lastly, I changed my pagefile from 32768 to "let windows manage pagefile". My drive still has 400GB left of storage.

 

So far, I haven't crashed after a 1.5 hr session. I'll keep watch for a week or so before closing this problem.

I've been experiencing crash since the release of MT Openbeta.  I uninstalled and went back to the stable version which seemed to help a little.  I still crash out often in multiplayer.  No MODS and adjusted PageFile to 32000.  Rather frustrating... thoughts, ideas, hopes?

Hi. Your dcs.log shows is given a 4900 MB pagefile, which is not much. Check your pagefile settings, and ensure the drive hosting your pagefile has enough free space (~50 GB).

And if that does not help, try this:

  1. Go to C:/Users/your login/AppData/Local/Temp.
  2. Delete all folders starting with "DCS".
