Hi great, even epic mission.

I managed the first target zone alone and ask for the wingman to help 2nd and 3rd but he was almost useless.

For the IR mark, what was it exactly ? Never saw it with NVG or FLIR. Thanks units where visible on F10 map.

Good afternoon Thanks for your feedback!
IR laser.
The fact is that in the multithreading mode there is a problem - the IR laser is not visible. Perhaps this will be fixed in the next OB update. I hope!
You can complete this mission without multithreading - in this case, the IR marker will be visible!

Just finished the mission with the help of using F10 map. It was quite difficult to locate the targets when you don't see the IR beam and directions to the next target are quite vague. Eg. "Go to a heading 110" but a heading from what location?

Good day! It's hard to answer your question more precisely. I need mission numbers.
IR Marker has not yet been fixed in multithreading. This is sad.
To see IR Marker - complete this mission in normal DCS mode, without multithreading

It seems there is no more ST version...And I did not see any IR marker when the message occured. I'll try again to check, but if the issue is not fixed you may provide a workaround...

Thanks for your time. I am working on it.
The IR marker should be visible.
I will come back with a solution.

Hi there!
I tested and found that the IR marker is still bad, but visible and working. It's worse with night vision goggles, better with IHADSS.
I also checked the trigger functionality - it works.
Anyway, I'll update this mission in the next DCS update, along with all 12 MAD AH-64 missions. The campaign has been updated with datalink, Chinook, Kiowa.

I just flew it yesteday, and ...no IR marker can be seen from the south of the airport, once the message has been given. I'm in quad view VR (Varjo Aero), I wonder if this is the root cause...
I had a look in mission editor to understand where the T90 are. Now I know where to go, labels wil also help. I did not see anydatalink info, did I miss something ?

Hi! I tested it in VR now. And yes, it is still very poorly visible.
I attach a screenshot. Unfortunately, the IR marker is currently in this state on my Quest 3
I can't understand why ED hasn't fixed this yet.
In 2D the laser is visible well, in VR it is poor.
Try to find it not with NVG, but with PNVS (Pilot Night Vision Sensor).

Thanis for your answer. As I was at very low altitude (I though the IR marker would come from the UAV!) I doubdt I could see it...I'll try to go up. I wonder if this IR ray is done by a dedicated shader...In this context I may be able to do a fix... How to make a unit doing it, so I could test as soon as in cockpit in a dedicated mission ?

This is a standard IR marker script. You can find a lot of this on the forum.
Or just use JTAG from DCS and request an IR marker. This is the easiest way.

I'm still not able to see the IR pointer. I tried to do a mission to test but my JTAC is not allowing me to request IR marker...
I had a look in your mission : it seems AFSANEH-1 is M60 infantry and has no action to use IR marker. Maybe it's because the mission is protected... From where the IR beam is supposed to come ?

Yes, this is the AFSANEH group, object AFSANEH-1. The group activates after you destroy the first target—a group of infantry on the apron of Kish Int.
AFSANEH consists of two infantrymen standing on the roof of the hangar, a screenshot is attached.

The IR marker functionality in my mission is implemented using a script. Here’s a sample for you: SCRPT-LSand IR.miz This is on the Syria map. The UAV will designate several targets for you at the airbase. Unfortunately, I don’t have an example for other maps.

It's ok, I have syria. I finished the mission by going in editor and getting coordinates of targets, then adding them in one ong of the mission kneeboard (you can do that without unzipping/zipping the full mission.

I tried the mission : I have the message "lasing ON", "lasing zone", lasing group" but did not see anything in 2D... I tried to modify the mission by adding the option "infrared" to each call of the script, it seems it doesn't change anything...

This is very strange sir!
I would advise you to remove third-party mods (ED has repeatedly written that this can disrupt the operation of DCS)
Perform a DCS cure via the launcher. File checking.
Sometimes this helps.
In thinulls example that I sent you, the laser works and is clearly visible in 2D, I checked it right now.
It doesn't look very good, in 4k resolution it's literally 4-8 pixels wide laser.
But it is there. I would advise you to contact DCS technical support at the link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/ru/support/

Thanks, I'll try again without any mod...

Edit : I tried it without any mod and...same issue
But : I was using PNVS because you wrote above  "Try to find it not with NVG, but with PNVS (Pilot Night Vision Sensor). " and I forgot the key to toggle NVG.

As soon as I used NVG I could see the IR beam even in VR. In fact, it is very visible with quad view, as the ext. view make it thicker...I do not know if it is normal or not to not see the IR beam using the PNVS...
Anyway, thanks for your patience ! I'll know check if there is a mod breaking the effect with NVG.

Edit: there is no issue with the mods I'm using. the IR beam is still visible in NVG. That's strange, because I had the issue in the campaign !

Got it! I'm always happy to help and support!
If you have the patience to try the mission again, let me know that everything is ok.
