So I've been playing DCS for years in phases and I've recently attempted to get back into it since half a year. I jumped into Buddyspikes server (Beta) and found that my rudder controls weren't functioning the way I remember. I've been playing on a controller since I got the game and it's always run fine. Now however the rudder won't centre back to the 0 position (confirmed with Ralt + enter screen). For context the rudder axis command is currently set to Joy-z and Joy-rz, which are the left and right triggers (I don't remember if that changed since the last time I played).

I've seen several people saying that this issue is caused by 2 buttons being assigned to one axis control. But how can it be that this issue has only now arisen? I've been playing like this for years. Has an update changed the way the rudder control behaves or did I encounter a bug? Any help is welcome.

Oh and this concerns all my modules, not just Flaming Cliffs 3.

Why? Are these two separate pedals? What triggers?

What hardware controls are these?

I'm using an xbox controller. The triggers are the buttens farthest left and right, basically where both your index fingers are resting.

It can only work with two axes when the other stops sending the signal (you're not pressing) otherwise they'll fight each other. Make sure they easily zeroize when not pressed and don't send signal spikes. You can test it in windows game controls test, DCS controls axis page and during mission.
