upyr1 Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 As I don't know the full details of the campaign contract, I was wondering if this was possible. Hypothetically if a map developer wanted to develop a campaign for the A-4 mod, would there be anything stopping them or would the fact it's not an official module prevent it from happening?
SharpeXB Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 I would think you can’t make official paid DLC which requires an unofficial mod. That means essentially monetizing the mod. Which introduces all sorts of issues since these mods don’t meet the IP requirements to be a commercial product. Besides the fact that not enough people have the mod or want mods in general to make such a thing feasible. People can always create unofficial campaigns for the User Files sections. 2 i9-14900KS | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | 64GB DDR5 5600MHz | iCUE H150i Liquid CPU Cooler | ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4090 OC | Windows 11 Home | 2TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe | Corsair RM1000x | LG 48GQ900-B 4K OLED Monitor | CH Fighterstick | Ch Pro Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR 5
Vampyre Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Yup, that sounds like a huge legal mess. 1 Truly superior pilots are those that use their superior judgment to avoid those situations where they might have to use their superior skills. If you ever find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck! "If at first you don't succeed, Carrier Landings are not for you!"
