Doesn't work with another machine. Oddly, the light on the breakout box comes on when the PC is turned off but only if the USB-C cable is plugged in. What joy of joys. I'm on my third one and it is very possibly crapped out on me once again. I'm eyeing possible replacements rn. slughead Posted April 8, 2023 Author Posted April 8, 2023 I was waiting for the inevitable despite taking great care of it. I don't think it is the cable itself that fails but the breakout box. I have the V2 cable on order... but I also see that the Quest Pro is now £999... so I have just bought one of those to try out as it's also on a 30-day no-quibble try-out return. Funny enough, the Quest Pro will arrive tomorrow and the V2 cable at the end of the week. I've heard some good things about the QP vs the G2 so looking forward to trying it out. My G2 is out of warranty although, it should last longer than 18 months. I might try and push for some compensation somehow using the UK consumer rights act.
