Toledo Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 I should be able to bind these to ENG OPER IGN/Norm/Motor switches but it will not let me.
Yurgon Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 Why would you bind this to anything other than the left and right throttle OFF/IDLE detents, which are already mapped out of the box? I'm assuming it's by design that the normal engine start/stop commands simply are not available for the TM Warthog throttle. To get the name of the currently bound engine IDLE <> OFF command, simply open the config dialog as in the screenshot above, move your throttles from OFF to IDLE and then back to OFF and DCS will now highlight the currently bound action (not at my PC right now, so I can't look up what it's called). If you really, really, really want to map engine start and stop to the TM Warthog throttle as indicated above, you can modify (by default, and going by memory) C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS\Mods\aircraft\A-10CII\Config\Input\Joystick\Warthog Throttle.lua (or similar) and inject the missing key commands into this file; you'll find the commands in the controller input files for the other controllers and the keyboard. This will break IC, and every DCS repair as well as every DCS update will undo your modifications.
Solution Toledo Posted April 9, 2023 Author Solution Posted April 9, 2023 Well duh!!!!!Do not need to, the throttle from idle to cutoff back to idle will start the engines!!!!!!! dumbass me. I just got the warthog stick and did not know this. I replaced my logitech x52 pro , what a difference!!! Thanks Yurgon, but since I found this out i will leave it as is.
