Server logs-banning players

Hi guys,

 

I am having a hard time finding player names in the networkXXX.logs. I need to block some ip's on my firewall because we have some players who are ruining the game for everybody else(tking). Am I missing something here? Is there a config file that I need to change to increase the log level?

The IP addresses are stored in the net.server log in the Temp files. This file is reset everytime you press 'disconnect' in the gui, so make sure you look for the addresses before you change missions or shut down the game.

How do you go about specifically banning a player? I see the "net-server" log and the "network-#####" log, but can't see any logs or files or where to ban a certain playername or IP.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I stand corrected. You can get a client IP and name in the net-server log. I ban specific IP's on my firewall appliance or even the full IP range if need be.
