I don't know if this a bug or intended behavior.

I tried and AA mission in Mirage F1 RE with 2*Magic 1, 2 Super 530F, 1 BARAX pod, 1 fuel tank.

From the rotation the asymmetric weight of the BARAX pod, despite a limited weight (below 90kg) is a pain to handle. Unfortunately it's more a less true across all modules.

During the mission I shot the Super 530F on the opposite wing to the pod. So I came back with a Super 530F and BARAX pod under the same wing.

I'm always trying to trim both pitch and roll before engaging auto-pilot. But when I do so, it seems the AP starts by cancelling my roll trim input before trimming by himself. The plane rolled to the left then bringed the wings back to level. But it stayed off course (CAP mode engaged).

But if you try to do that at low speed to use ILS mode, the plane will get out of control and unable to bring wings to level flight (heavy roll and pitch down)

The AP won't feed in rudder to keep the aircraft coordinated (ball isn't centered), so you'll do a slow turn towards the draggy side. Not sure if that's correct with anti slip on (AP may be using an entirely different control loop).

The AP will just barely be able to keep wings level upon engagement with one Magic and S530 each missing on one side.

My question is would it really cancel trim when engaged ?

Because it feels like it right now. Even with stable flight conditions before engagement (hands off stick and feet off rudder) when AP engaged it rolls towards heavy wing. With speed it can recover. At low speed it can’t.

I'm wondering the same, jojo. The signals should be the same in trim and AP.

Could be my mistake, though, as the manual asks for depressing the disconnect trigger and pressing the AP button that the same time. Not depressing the trigger (me) could be the issue here. I'll give it a try.

Edit: Just tested it: Doesn't change mich when using the trigger during AP engagement.

Hello again,

There is indeed an issue with the integral command of the lateral modes of the AP, especially noticeable on connection and disconnection. I've been working on fixing it and hopefully the fix will be ready in the next update.
