trick4p Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 when I want to load DCS open beta, I don't see the option on which disk it will be loaded.... I have 5 disks and I want to have it loaded on a certain disk that I choose myself, but unfortunately that doesn't work. DCS choose its own disc? What should I do so that I can see the installation path field when installing?
Flappie Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 I've had the issue recently. Stop the installation process, then copy your core DCS folder where you want it, then run it's updater. ---
trick4p Posted April 16, 2023 Author Posted April 16, 2023 ok ... this installs dcs but does not give me the option to repair or update dcs from the windows start up window. Due to the interruption of the installation, these shortcuts are inactive... but I would like them to work. This option did not change my problem!
Flappie Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 You can repair DCS using this procedure: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/709/#2463807 ---
trick4p Posted April 16, 2023 Author Posted April 16, 2023 i get this .... after the same first steps. null
Flappie Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 That's because you un the exe from Powershell, which does not use DOS syntax. Run a "cmd" Window instead, and it will work. ---
trick4p Posted April 16, 2023 Author Posted April 16, 2023 i dont have this option not here and not there.... Sorry
Flappie Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 It's OK. I've just tested this with Powershell. Simply add " .\ " as prefix. Like this: ---
