No. And I agree, it's much worse now.

I've tried reinstalling the oculus software, performed a factory reset of the quest pro but it's not made any difference. I'm also getting a lot more stuttering than before.

I'm about to get one this weekend and sad to hear that it's still an issue. I wonder if it is related to USB cable and throughput. Has anyone tried for example a USB hub or different ports?

People have been saying there's not much difference in 960 bitrate vs 500.

I don't think my Arctis 7 wireless will be comfortable with the headset on.

If it was due to throughput then the video would be glitchy too.

I've been reading about it but haven't seen any solution that works for everyone. What's the lowest encode bitrate you've tried where you have not had audio stutter?

Perhaps it's software related? Is it occurring in other games over link cable too? If not, maybe related to DCS only?

I've eradicated the problem by using airlink which doesn't really make sense to me. My cable works fine when I test it. Maybe there's something wrong with my motherboard?

Around the 8:05 mark this guy talks about the bitrate settings and mentions if you have audio issues then you may want to try different values for encode resolution and encode bitrate. He's using occulus tray tool which I dunno if that is still considered the proper thing to use or not. Audio in Spanish with subtitles but it's the only tutorial I found that went into detail.

It hasn't helped, unfortunately.

My Quest pro has recently updated to PTCv60 and the audio stutters I have been experiencing using wired link seem to have completely gone.

Just saw your post on the PTC v60 thread on atmeta. Sounds good. I won't be rushing over to PTC as once bitten twice shy with the older reports of huge PTC issues and bricked units. Keep us updated please.

Out of interest, are you running any custom settings in the ODT?

Just encode bitrate set to 350. Now the audio stutters seem to be fixed I might increase it to 500. I used to get the audio problems even with everything set to default so this update has made a big difference to me. Obviously this may all change with the next update...

My headset just recently got the v59 update and now it randomly will have white lines appear and disappear randomly, very subtle while using the headset so the updates do cause different issues it seems.

I only ever got audio cutouts if my bitrate was over 650. I just set it to 500 and left it at that. Hopefully the next update will smoothen things out because I didn't have this previously.

I can't see much difference, if any, between 500 and 960 with regard to smearing or artefacts.

960 will give me occasional audio glitches on some parts of a map. 920 is even worse and I'll hear them almost all the time. 500 is glitch-free for me.

Ok. I caved in and switched over to the PTC. V60, the audio glitches/dropouts are gone. Five flights, no glitches, just sublime. Thanks for informing us! Let's just hope that Meta doesn't break it on the next release!

Oh, yeah. Running default settings in ODT.

Once on PTC channel, Is it possible to return to the normal update channel?

For me the audio cutouts have improved slightly with v60. I'm not on PTC but on v59 the cutouts we're much more pronounced.

How have you got v60 if you are not on the PTC? It hasn't been released other than via the PTC.
I received v59 update a month ago and then a week and a half later the headset updated on its own again. I just checked the version now and you are right it's still v59.172.

It may have gotten a hotfix or patch.
