Does some units take up more resources than others?

I'm making a mission loosely based on Epsom. There's mabye 150 ground units of various types(tank,  guns,  infantry, AA etc and another 40ish planes.

Even outside of VR, just free roaming to check units placement and AI behaviour, there is constant lag. This is the type of mission MT should help the most with.

I assume the lag is related AI calculations as ground units are moving and firing. And it's happening without seeing units so should not be related graphics.

Even after removing about 100 infantry units, some AA units, some trucks and some artillery. The lag is exactly the same. So are there some type of units that require more resources than others?

 

I use a i9 9900k @5ghz, 64gig ram with 3090.

i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 3090, 64Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.
