Elliot Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 (edited) There's a bit of a lack of info on this in the F14A, so I just want to ask a few things: How do we know when it's on or off? Does the pilot keybind transfer over to the RIO seat (like the countermeasure dispenser?) Is the button a toggle or a push button you have to hold? Is the breaker itself in the RIO pit animated? Is it still working in this version of DCS? I've tried to pull it in both the RIO and Pilot seat, but the MCB test switch still shows it as working. Any help would be appreciated, thanks! Elliot Posted June 15, 2023 Author Posted June 15, 2023 considering this topic is dead, could we atleast get a jester voiceline telling us the breaker is pulled so we know when we're getting our thrust? thanks 1
draconus Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 We don't know - IRL RIO could only feel it afaik - just like they had to count bombs and remember. Check the bindings - they are separate for pilot and RIO. It's a toggle. No, you don't even see it afaik. Do the power tests. 1 Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
Elliot Posted June 16, 2023 Author Posted June 16, 2023 Quote Do the power tests. thanks for the info, and i also did try the power tests but both lights stayed lit no matter what, i'm thinking the keybind is just broken

Maybe it doesn't work, idk. Edited June 17, 2023 by draconus Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria

r4y30n Posted June 17, 2023 Posted June 17, 2023 There’s a fairly short list of conditions that cause the MCB to open. It’s not like the engines make X amount of thrust normally and X+1000 lbs with the breaker pulled. It’s more like you always have X amount of thrust, except occasionally when the MCB opens and takes away some of it. As for testing the system, shouldn’t the fuel flow dip when open? Set up a stable cruise and shoot the gun, that’ll open the MCB for 5 seconds.

Elliot Posted July 5, 2023 Author Posted July 5, 2023 should i delete this thread considering there's two other ones on the exact same thing?
