Tried to use the Animated Deck Crew Technicians on an airbase to add a little bit extra. Are the Crew just linked to carriers as there was no way to link them to anything. I removed them as the mission wouldn't load.

Not sure if I understand what you're asking, but you can just place deck crew as static (personnel) object anywhere you want on the ground. You don't have to link them (you only use the "link to" option if you place them on a moving carrier)

If you share your mission here, maybe we can have a look at what might be wrong.

Thanks for reply Sirrah. I just wanted to know if you could place them on the ground as well without a problem.

Ah ok

Well, yes you can 🙂

(they obviously won't move though, as they're static)

Sirrah. they were moving (animated). Just like on the carrier. I placed them close to the planes and they were looking around etc. I'm going to have another look and see what happens on a clean mission.

Ok, I wasn't clear.

Yes they move, as in, they move their arms a bit and look around. What I meant, you can't make them walk by giving them move orders (waypoints), like you do with infantry units.

The static deck personnel that users can place in their missions, won't walk around like the deck crew on the Supercarrier.

Hi sirrah, thanks for reply

I was aware of that but after placing them on the ground, and saving it I reloaded and it stopped part way through. Will still try out a clean mission and see how it goes.

Cheers
