hreich Posted May 22, 2023 Posted May 22, 2023 I have TM warthog with extension 35cm long and with added springs to help keep stick centered when hands off..I also have MFG crosswind pedals with center spring...Which options do i have to select in advanced trim options....Do i have to use -Central Position Trimmer ? The other two options are FFB and joystick wthout spring - which i assume are not for my setup? Or I am wrong? How do i properly use Central Position Trimmer? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Pilot from Croatia
Hiob Posted May 22, 2023 Posted May 22, 2023 Well, that's a big debate and pretty much a matter of taste. Personally, I'd recommend center position trimmer mode for the stick and no trimming for the pedals and instead take the spring of the pedals. I've made myself a makeshift quick release for that purpose. Central position trimmer mode simply means, that when you press and release the trimm button, you need to recenter the stick before new inputs are registered. That prevents unintentional input "jumps". However you need to be mindful of what you are doing and trimm in small increments. When you yank around in the heat of the action and forget to properly recenter you will kill yourself for the lack of control when the stick input is not working. That's the reason, some don't like this trimmer setting. No matter which option you choose, I highly recommend to watch some videos from the real Apache guys on the matter of trimming. There are a lot of misconceptions about it regarding the AH-64. Bradmick and Casmo e.g. are good sources.
