Vault Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 8 pages of comments and not a single person can give any reason why any Russian fighter is superiour to the Raptor. I rest my case. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Vekkinho Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Well, it's cheaper...:music_whistling: and that's about it! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Teknetinium Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 (edited) No fighter is superior over F-22 at the moment, But I believe that Russians have a good chance to come up whit a good response, not in quantity but as machine vs machine. What I hear is that nothing will be better then F-22 in 20 years time :) In Realty they will have their own strengths witch pilots will need to get around. Vekkinho Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Uh, no, it certainly does not. I don't think you understand what doctrine means. Here, explained by Wiki: The term DOCTRINE also applies to the concept of an established procedure to a complex operation in warfare. The typical example is tactical doctrine in which a standard set of maneuvers, kinds of troops and weapons are employed as a default approach to a kind of attack. Examples of military doctrines include: Blitzkrieg of World War II Hit-and-run tactics Shock and Awe Guerre de course Mahanian of late 19th up to mid-20th Century Trench Warfare of World War I Manhunting Doctrine, or Assured Individual Destruction Almost every military organization has its own doctrine. Sometimes written, sometimes unwritten. Some military doctrines are transmitted through training programmes. More recently, in modern peacekeeping operations, which involve both civilian and military operations, more comprehensive (not just military) doctrines are now emerging such as the 2008 United Nations peacekeeping operations' "Capstone Doctrine"[1] which speaks to integrated civilian and military operations. lomcevac Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 I quoted my source. It was on CNBC, sometime yesterday afternoon. The information was presented in the form of a chart. And discussion was about a total debt, including Social Security, medicaid and everything else. Again, my source is CNBC. http://www.gao.gov/financial/fy2007/07frusg.pdf it's 2007, but the info is out there. More importantly, you've learned not to trust a bunch of talking heads with an agenda. For those not inclined to read, our TOTAL debt including Soc Sec, Medicaid, & "everything else" still totals a bit over $10TRILLION not $70TRILLION. We'll see how much the new administration can spend in 4 years. Getting back on topic. This is a simple argument. B-1 = Tu-160 Space Shuttle = Buran F-22 = PAC-FA not Su-35, Su-47, MiG-35 or whatever you think it means Why are they building a "so called" stealthy aircraft that - in conception - looks (vaguely) similar to the F-22 if they have a better design? Who will buy it? The RuAF? They've gotten their best aircraft from Algeria by being stuck with something that country didn't want. All the rest? Well, they're prototypes, demonstrators, or a glimmer in some aerospace engineers eye. Air Force Four-Five, it appears your engine has...oh, disregard...I see you've already ejected
GGTharos Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Using overwhelming force is not a doctrine. It is a well understood tradition known from the beginnings of warfare, and it is IIRC described in writings as far back as Sun-Tzu's works. ;) The aim is to crush the enemy quickly to achieve quick victory and prevent your army (and possibly your country) from stagnating due to morale or supply issues. If you want to call overwhelming force a doctrine, maybe that's literally correct, I don't know. One wonders how much stick time some of you have in the 22. Same for all of the Red aviators.. Those logbooks must be full... How do you guys ever find time to just sit back and enjoy just playing a good flight sim. One wonders! Edited February 19, 2009 by Boneski Because I want to! My mission is to fly, fight, and win. o-:|:-o What I do is sometimes get a tin of soup, heat it up, poach an egg in it, serve that with a pork pie sausage roll.
GGTharos Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 We eagerly await your expert input, chuckler ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

Do you just pull this stuff out of your ass or do you actually do any research? http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/My friend, the use of your language is offensive and braking the rules of this forum. The total national debt is 78.8 trillion dollars and the world GDP is 78.4 trillion dollars. This information was presented on FOX News, few days ago (I thought it was CNBC).
