Dusty Rhodes Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 It seems there are still some issue's that are coming up, missions are being built but it sure looks like the community for the most part has settled into a Holding Pattern waiting for the patch to come out. I can almost feel the anxiety on message board :) Dusty Rhodes Play HARD, Play FAIR, Play TO WIN Win 7 Professional 64 Bit / Intel i7 4790 Devils Canyon, 4.0 GIG /ASUS Maximus VII Formula Motherboard/ ASUS GTX 1080 8 GB/ 32 Gigs of RAM / Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog / TrackIR 5 / 2 Cougar MFD's / Saitek Combat Pedals/ DSD Button Box FLT-1
bumfire Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Speaking about patch and holding pattern, the instant mission, I was going back to land the other day after completing the mission and all the other helos had landed and had been for ages but the tower kept me in a pattern and wouldnt allow me to land everytime I asked, needless to say he got told to stfu and I landed anyway, possible bug ? A nice little antedote there about landing patterns and a possible bug that the patch may fix ?
glottis Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 The only bug I've found and want fixed is the direct output dll crashing the game. I want to program my MFD in lua :D Obviously any improvements to the engine would be welcome too...
AlphaInfinity Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Waiting on the dedicated server piece. Hopefully that is included with the next patch. MadTommy Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 I've got a stack of half done missions that i dont want to work on until the ME gets a patch. No point making long complicated workarounds when i hear many issue will be fixed and features added. i5-3570K @ 4.5 Ghz, Asus P8Z77-V, 8 GB DDR3, 1.5GB GTX 480 (EVGA, superclocked), SSD, 2 x 1680x1050, x-fi extreme music. Dusty Rhodes Posted February 18, 2009 Author Posted February 18, 2009 I would like to see the new features also. I just finished a short single play campaign. Matt, I think it was Matt, stated that unlike LOMAC, the missions you built in version 1.0 will play over into the patched version, so that is good news and a nice change. bumfire Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 As long as we get Sat view for the mission editor I will be a very happy man :) as making missions without Sat view is a pain especially when you get ingame and realise that things are all messed up on the ground units side of things.
Dusty Rhodes Posted February 18, 2009 Author Posted February 18, 2009 If that sat view is something like Command and Conquer type view, yes that would be AWESOME to have and could make building very complex and dynamic missions and campaigns so much easier. 159th_Viper Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 If that sat view is something like Command and Conquer type view.... Akin to the following - Admittedly also something I find strangely amiss. Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Click me to commence your Journey of Pillage and Plunder!
