markturner1960 Posted June 18, 2023 Posted June 18, 2023 Hi, I recently upgraded from a G2 to quest pro. However, I am getting a problem with freezes / crashes. I am not sure if its DCS or Oculus. If DCS crashes for any reason, will it always generate a crash file? As I am not getting one, just the log, in which I can see nothing useful about any potential reason for the issue. I should add that its a fresh install of windows and DCS, as I was thinking it may be that, so started again from scratch and unfortunately, still have the issue..... So, no crash file, I can look at oculus? Or is there situations where DCS will stop, but wont write a crash log? Thanks System specs: PC1 :Scan 3XS Ryzen 5900X, 64GB Corsair veng DDR4 3600, EVGA GTX 3090 Win 10, Quest Pro, Samsung Odyssey G9 Neo monitor.

Thanks hello. i have noticed with many posts that users have installed fresh windows. in many cases this will indeed fix issues. however with DCS there are so many things that have to be done that are missed after the fresh install. a crash file will only be generated if the DCS can produce it. if the exe stops working it is likely the crash file will not be generated. post your latest dcs.log and we can start from there. markturner1960 Posted June 19, 2023 Author Posted June 19, 2023 Thank you, OK, I made the export file read only, as the entries need to be in a certain order. But that should not stop DCS reading it as required should it? Also, I have recently turned off simapp pro starting up with windows, so its not currently running unless I start it....and I am still getting the crash / freeze... I will un enable all mods and see how we go. 1 System specs: PC1 :Scan 3XS Ryzen 5900X, 64GB Corsair veng DDR4 3600, EVGA GTX 3090 Win 10, Quest Pro, Samsung Odyssey G9 Neo monitor.
