I have big FPS drops and stutters when the TGP is masked.

Framerate drops to like 2 fps whenever the TGP is in FLIR mode and has harrier exhaust in the view field direction, even if it is masked. Can be verified by viewing other harriers nearby. Does not happen if the TGP is in TV mode.

The problem is the rendering of the IR smoke effect of exhaust.

Same problem for me (and many others as well). It's been mentioned on their discord but I don't know if any official fix is in the works for it. It's been around for the last few patches at least. I think it has something to do with the smoke/fire and the new(er) FLIR modelling from ED.

Wonder if it's similar to what I reported here:

I'm still seeing the same stutter when I mask the tpod especially and this fortunately or unfortunately the only module that I've seen this happen to me in.

Unfortunately I'm still having this issue and I'm on my 3rd full pc build, each with increasing power, since my original report. I can add updated tracks if it would be helpful and I will say it seems to happen more in multi-player now than single player.
