Simulation will not run at all

I was able to launch and register the online simulation but DCS Shark crashes on launch without getting to the registration dialog. I get this Vaster error:

I am running Vista Ultimate 32bit Service Pack 2 on an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU an ATI Radeon ASUS HD 4800 Series.

Hi,

When you installed Black Shark did you right click and install as administrator?

If you did not that may be your problem, a lot of guys with vista have had that happen to them

update your directx

 

deinstall your vidcard drivers and re-install them

Reinstalled the ATI drivers. It worked but when I reboot I am back to the same problem.

This is getting to be a serious concern as I am actually reviewing the simulation for NAG Magazine

What ATI driver version are you using? For some users the newer drivers (9.1 and 9.2) seem to cause problems with Black Shark. If you are using one of them please try to disable catalyst AI or set it to standard, and if that does not work please revert to 8.12 or 8.11 and check if that solves the problem.

ATI Driver 8.12 with AI disabled has done the trick.
