Ripple Multiple with more stores than quantity selected

Hi,

Not entering a bug report as maybe this is correct as is. Will do a bug report with track if needed.

F-15E with 4xMk84 (four stations).

Program PROG1:

  • Select four stations with Mk84s
  • AUTO (doesn't matter)
  • RP MPL (ripple multiple)
  • Quantity 2

When pickling, it drops from all four stations, exceeding the selected quantity of two. Is this how it should work? Literally that's pretty much what the manual says, but it doesn't address this case explicitly. So I was just surprised to see it drop more than selected quantity.

If it's correct as is, I guess RP SQL with interval 0 and quantity 2, or two programs (two stations each) are better ways to drop pairs.

That is correct as is.

Ripple multiple releases one store from every selected station with each release pulse. Quantity determines the number of release pulses. So in this case with 2 stations selected and quantity 2, you would release 1 bomb from each station per pulse, or 4 bombs total.

Thanks for the clarification!

Not very intuitive in the SE. In other aircraft QTY means what it says, which is the total number of bombs to be released, and MULT means how many bombs to be released simultaneously in the release cluster.

In the SE for example, you can't release a simultaneous cluster of 3 bombs from one station, or 3 bombs from 2 stations, etc.

I have just tested it with Mk82 and GBU 10, all stations loaded and it works like it should. Quantity drops the number of bombs you request, depending on the number of stations selected they will be dropped in one or several pulses.

- 5 stations. qty 3 => drops 1 bomb from 3 stations at the same time

- 5 stations qty 10 => drops 3 bombs from 3 stations, then 2 + 2 + 2 + 1 from the CFT the wings seems to be the last ones to drop.

So qty works like in any other plane, is the number of bombs released. If you selected 5 stations, qty 3 and all of them dropped, might be a bug. I couldn't reproduce it though.
