AvroLanc Posted June 27, 2023 Share Posted June 27, 2023 There's a designation bug when in CDIP mode and the CDIP pipper is NOT HUD limited. If you attempt to drop bombs (in this case Mk-82) with a Ripple QTY more than 1 and with the CDIP bomb impact point within the HUD FOV then a bogus designation is made at a great distance from the expected designation (at the impact point). (In this case 360nm, but I've seen other figures like 160nm). When dropping a RPL QTY>1 when the CDIP pipper is pegged at the bottom of the HUD (i.e impact point is below HUD FOV and you see a TREL figure displayed, then the designation is made correctly.
