skybolts Posted July 2, 2023 Posted July 2, 2023 (edited) I do not have any sound output when running Open Beta 2.8.6.41363 in multi-thread. I do have audio in single thread however. All audio settings are verified correct. It was previously working before the most recent update. I have deleted the saved games options.lua file, still no audio when running multi-thread. Anyone have any suggestions? All drivers are up to date. Tks. dcs.log Edited July 2, 2023 by skybolts Spelling
Flappie Posted July 4, 2023 Posted July 4, 2023 Hi. You attached a DCS ST log. Please run DCS MT, start a quick mission and play for one minute, then exit DCS and attach the resulting log file. What if you turn DCS Music volume up? Do you hear it in the main menu? ---
skybolts Posted July 15, 2023 Author Posted July 15, 2023 (edited) Sorry for the late reply Flippie, I had sent off a ticket and was corresponding with support. I sent them, both ST an MT log file. They can't figure it out. All volume sliders are truned up. I have no other audio issues on my machine. I am educated in dedicated audio devices on windows, and use high end USB device for profession DAW applications. My drivers are rock solid. All onboard sound devices are disaabled. Audio was running flawlessly in Both ST and MT modes prior to my previous update. I have absolutly no audio in MT. ST works fine though. Have a look, maybey you can see something. I did do a fresh install and only updated to the previous Beta but no joy. Same problem. dcs.log Edited July 15, 2023 by skybolts
Flappie Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 Hi. Did you try the sound log setting to see if there was any error in it? If not, add the attached file to your "Saved Games/DCS.../Config" folder. If you already have such a file, just add these 2 lines to it: sound.debug_level = 2 log.set_output('sound', 'SOUND', log.ALL + log.TRACE, log.TIME_LOCAL + log.MESSAGE) autoexec.cfg The next time you play, it will create a "sound.log" in you Logs folder. ---
